Christmas is Coming!

Wow, Christmas is getting closer! I'm not sure I'm mentally prepared, but am I really ever? Only 3 more days of lunches til the holidays (Yay!).

The kids have a snack day today, so they don't need too much in their lunches again. They've got ham sandwiches, cheese, Ritz Chips, and granola bars. Kid #1 has the yogurt and grapes that he didn't eat yesterday, as well as some red peppers. Kid #2 has some Thin Sensations Chips Ahoy, some Ritz Bits S'mores, and a Chocolate Rice Krispie Square. Yeah, I think he's got enough goodies for one day!

Monday Morning -- Does it ever get easier?

It's another Monday morning ... why are they always so difficult? And now that I've made lunches, I've just discovered that it's freezing rain outside. Well, if the buses are cancelled, at least I don't have to worry about making something for my house-bound kids!

The kids have some of these cute little mini burgers we discovered at Costco. They've got some ketchup to put on them, some Top Dogs, a cheese string, Crispers, a chocolatety caramel Rice Krispie Square, and a granola bar. Kid 1 has grapes and yogurt to round out his meal, and Kid 2 has pretzels and crackers to (not-so-much) round out his meal.

The man of the house gets to use up some left-over turkey from last night with a couple of wraps. I've given him a bottle of Ranch for the wraps, a granola bar, a clementine, some cheese and crackers, and of course, some Crispers. Here's to yummy and safe Monday morning (in spite of the freezing rain!).

Back In Action !

It's been two months (yikes!) but we're back at it. Not the bento-ing (that's been continuing without interruption), but the photographing of said bento-ing.

Today is Pizza Day, so I was able to give the kids a little less than usual, and make use of these new 1L containers from Lock & Lock. They do have 3 divider cups, but I've removed one to make room for those Pogo Sticks.

Kid #1 has square-cut ham sandwiches, celery sticks, 2 Pogo Sticks (cut in half with sticks removed), a cheese string with a bottle of ketchup hiding underneath, animal crackers, half a granola bar, Ritz Bits S'Mores and a mixture of pretzels, Honeycombs and chocolate chips.

Kid #2 has basically the same thing, except for red peppers and grapes instead of the celery and ham sandwiches.
Dad has leftovers today -- tortellini and meatballs, as well as carrots and broccoli with some ranch dip hiding underneath, right beside the clementine, which is also hiding underneath.

Now, if I can just keep on track for this month!
